Helping Airmen and Guardians When They Need Us Most

The Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) has been meeting the unique needs of Airmen and their families since 1942. Our founder, General Henry H. “Hap” Arnold, created a relief organization that emphasized the ideal of Airmen helping Airmen. Since then, AFAS works every day to support and enhance the U.S. Air Force mission by providing emergency financial assistance, disaster relief, education support, and on-base community programs. Our mission now extends to include our newest service branch – the U.S. Space Force Guardians and their families.

In 2023, AFAS provided $10.5 million through over 14,000 individual assists to Airmen, Guardians, and their families. Our ability to provide this support is made possible through your generous contributions to the Air Force Assistance Fund Drive.

Please make a gift to the Air Force Assistance Fund drive knowing that you will have a tremendous impact on the lives of your fellow Airmen and Guardians. And rest assured, should you ever need us, AFAS will be there to help.

Learn more about how your support helps in AFAS’ 2023 Impact Brochure.

We still need your support
